Worship at Scipioville is based in the Reformed, Presbyterian Tradition. We are a church that adheres to the standards of focusing on Word, Sacraments, and meaningful worship. Now, let’s not confuse tradition with being stuffy. There is always room for the Spirit as we gather together and we lift up various causes and mission-related concepts as part of our worship throughout the year. Hymnals, bulletins, and neighbors are here to give you everything you need to participate and feel comfortable in our pews.

What to Wear?

Here’s a little secret about churches and the way people dress:

Churches often say, “come as you are,” and then you show up to a room full of dressed-up folks gasping at your jeans…

Well, not here! Sure, some folks like to dress up for worship and Pastor Ben wears a robe (he loves that robe); but, you will find a diversity of dress here. Pastor Ben’s husband likes to wear jeans for example. To make a long description short (I know, too late) we actually mean, “Come as you are.” Church is a place of comfort and relaxation, a place to encounter God without worrying about your shoes. Dress comfortably and relax!

After Worship

Fellowship after church is a HUGE part of our life here at Scipioville. Caffeine, food, and good conversation are the standard fair after church. So, after worship, fill your belly and your heart as we gather together!
